Remember that marble veins generally flow in one direction. Marble is achieved by layering and using these techniques of splattering and high and low lights on the veins.
Paint on veins, think of how water flows through the marble creating the veins
Layer of glaze
Splatering
paint on highlights and lowlights, make sure to do it unevenly through the veins then a layer of glaze
Fill in some areas as darker areas with a wash
Another layer of glaze

Paints needed: Yellow ocher, burnt sienna, and raw umber

To create patinated look on the bronze use white and Teal blue and greens and water
Crackle
To create crackle effect you will need a hair dryer, paint and white glue
Paint desired base coat (to be seen through the crackles) let dry
Paint layer of glue onto surface, wait for it to get tacky
Paint layer of desire topcoat colour paint on top of the tacky glue
Then dry with hair dryer

Metals

Gold
Use gold metallic powder, glaze, and yellow ocher |
Scumble mixture onto burnt sienna prepped burnt sienna surface |
Silver
use silver grey metallic powder and a little prussian blue in glaze (to make a more pewter colour use more prussian blue) |
Scumble silver mixture onto black prepped surface |
Bronze
Mix gold mixture with burnt sienna and raw umber to create bronze (to create copper use more burnt sienna less raw umber) |
Scumble bronze mixture onto raw umber prepped surface |
